Our nursery and preschool is a clean, safe, and exciting place where your children will take their first steps in discovering God’s love for them. The leaders in these classrooms love Jesus and are 100% committed to making sure that your children learn about Him. All volunteers are background checked (18 and older) and receive training before serving.

We have three main goals:

1. Provide a safe, clean, educational environment where families feel comfortable leaving their children while they enjoy adult worship

2. Teach kids in a way that excites them about knowing Jesus and coming to church

3. Partner with families to help you lead your children spiritually.

Nursery

Our nursery area provides a clean, safe, exciting environment for children ages 6 weeks – 2 years old. Your children will hear the name of Jesus and learn stories from the Bible on their level using a curriculum designed especially for nursery-age children.

Room breakdown

Cuddlers/Crawlers: 6 weeks to 1 year

Runners/Walkers: 1-year-olds

2-year-olds

Preschool

Our Preschool area provides a safe, fun, exciting environment for children ages 3 years to kindergarten. Your children will hear the name of Jesus, learn stories from the Bible, and learn how they can apply what they’ve learned in their lives. Our preschool children spend a portion of the service in one of two playground structures and a larger portion of time in the classroom for their worship experience.

Room Breakdown:

3-year-olds (small play structure in the classroom)

4-year-olds (access to multi-level play structure)

K5/Kindergarten (access to multi-level play structure)

Parent-Child Dedication

The Parent-Child Dedication ceremony is a time of public and personal commitment where the parent(s) promise to raise their child with Godly principles so that when they are ready and understand, their child will choose to accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. Through this ceremony, parents show God, their family, and friends that they are willing to take on the responsibility of guiding their child into a relationship with Jesus. This occasion also allows parents to publicly commit their child to God for His blessing on their lives. It is the recognition that children are a temporary gift from God given to us. As parents, we bear the responsibility for the spiritual development of our children. At the same time, Foothills Church affirms parents in this task and commits to helping them in this process.
